Siddique Ismail

Siddique Ismail was born in 1954 in Karachi. He started Naat Khawani at the age of nine years. Due to polio, he lost his legs at an early age. He is reciting Naats for more than 50 years now. The first time he appeared on radio Pakistan in 1956 and late on in 1969 he recited Naats on PTV. He is one of the first Naat Khawan of PTV. He got fame from the Documentary of the construction of Makkah & Madian. In his melodious voice, the Azaan telecasted for many years on PTV.

He was awarded pride of performance in 1985 & Sitara-e-Imtiaz in 2012. Most of his Naats are in Urdu language but he also recites Naats in Arabic, Persian, Sindhi, Pashtu languages. He recited more than 1200 Naats. His most famous Naats are Ya Rasool Allah Teray Dar k Ghulamon, Noori Mehfil Pay Chadr Tani Noor key, Madinay Ka Safar Hai, etc.
